Thanks M! You make me blush man! (All those kind words)

I'm definitely going to make some more using this technique!

I agree with everybody above saying your progress is excellent, the difference between the first and the last strip is amazing. Great work!

Thanks Marooned! That's verry constructive criticism you are giving there. Now that you mention it, I guess I don't really think about where my light source is coming from or what kind of light source it is. I always seem to let the light come from the upper left corner, sun, lamp, any light source....

Joost's illustrations [Sinterklaas update!]

Hi,

I tried a little different approach to my illustrations than I use on my comic.
Lines are in pencil and collours are as smooth as could get them.

Let me know what you think!

Joost.

Re: Sketch thread

This is a nice idea! I think if your sketchlines are a little less rough it will fit the digital part nicely.

Bring on the next experiment!

I really like this last picture you made! Quite different than your other work. I'm not sure about Third Red's suggestion though to put in more black, I kinda like the hazyness of this picture.

This looks so cool! Can't wait to you colour this! Priceless expression on Nestor’s face in the last panel! :D

Re: Semmie the Forest gnome [Updated 14 aug]

It took a little more time than expected but here it is! The next page! I tried a different shading technique so it looks a bit more like Sem and Bear are walking in de shade under the trees. I think it works out fine, but please let me know what you think! http://members.casema.nl/joosthaakman/P18....

Re: A Journal Comic

I really like this, you've got the mood of making comics just right! And the funny thing is, I have those same little critters on my desk when I am drawing! Must be coincidence.

Re: Sketch thread

These sketches are great! Especially for being made on the train, I never found the train a very comfortable place to draw. I really like the last one, there's something about pathways that sets of my imagination.

Re: Chicken Nugget Lemon Tooty

Pascal, you made again a picture that will make a smile on anybody's face. I also really love the idea of making a picture of one of their drawings, so I chose one of Isaacs’s drawings about Little Hoot and made my own version of it. This is Isaac's drawing http://members.casema.nl/joosthaakman/Isaa...

Re: 6-Commando

Amateurish?!? Are you kidding me? This looks great! This reminds me of the GI-Joe series I watched when I was a kid, although I doubt if the colours in the series hade as much depth in them as your colours have here. Series was from the 80's after all, so I guess the colours were quit flat. In short...
