travel in watercolour (fixed)

Post by bluebottle » Fri Aug 25, 2006 2:38 am

hej there,
still on my trip around the world. eaching 100 pages on first sketchbook (new one starting next week in Mexico)

havent been here for a while so a bit of a bigger sketch dump

Image
waterfight w/ about 200 water balloons and some friends

Image
Image
saw a little girl at Aptos w/ a kite that was soooo far out. at least twice as high as any around it. and she was just casually strolling by by herself.

Image
truck at a friends farm near Portland

Image
Zia of the Dandy Warhols in their studio. hung out in Portland.

Image
Multnomah falls in Oregon

Image
long beach where i stayed w/ some friends

Image
was bored one day and friend asked me to draw a couple floating

Image
after seeing 'Taking the Jesus Pill' in LA. great, fun show in a bar w/ a live band and the actors performing all around you (at one stage one acting on top of bar over me and nearly getting sweat and spit in my drink).

hope you enjoyed your ride along

-d

sorry about that. should be fixed now :D

What I enjoy most about your work here are the loose backgrounds. and that kite image is my favorite.

Ah, they are great! I like how you use mainly one color in each picture. It looks really good. I feel the same way as aaron, - the kite and girl is my favorite. :) That looks awesome, I love the angel you chose.

... and how I envy you for travelling around the world sketching and painting, raarrgh!

drag the red x up into the adressbar, when you get an imageadress click return. You then get the image up on your screen. I think it is somekind of imageserver for blogg-ting that makes them into red x on the forum.... or something.

Funny stuff.
The masking work on day 52 is very well executed.
That girl flying piece is some awesome color work, tho her arm is not... all there.
Very nice watercolors all around.
