Excellent piece (even aside from the fact that I'm a total sucker for treehouses...once I even took my now-wife to a "treesort"). What I personally love the most about it is how subtle the Christmas-y elements are, instead of jumping whole hog into another red, white and green snowman/tannenbaum/reindeer/snowflake holiday bonanza. (What can I say? I had a job decorating Nordstrom's for Christmas four years ago and I'm still recovering...)

Cute, and a great treehouse concept!

I wonder if there's something you could do to push those reds out more?

You know what this reminds me of? One of those old "Golden Books" kids' books from the 1930s. That's a compliment, by the way.
