My Webcomic "Chumba"

Post by wpilot » Thu Nov 17, 2005 2:31 pm

Hello all,

I'm a bigtime fan of the Flight anthology series.
So I thought I might plug my own webcomic called Chumba:

http://homepage.mac.com/markpaulik/Site ... index.html

and my illustration site:

http://www.wanderingpilot.com/

If you get a moment you might take a look.
If you get 2 moments you might let me know what you think.

[email protected]

Thanks,
Mark

Hey Mark, sweet stuff man! Like the idea alot. Im really into organic art subjects. Love envionmental stuff. Maybe its my oz routes. Not sure. Your colored pics and pacing are so cool. Keep em coming. I see your posting the inked panels beofre the colors. Thats great as its so nice 2 see how the black and white work looks before its finished.

Keep goin man, youve got a great eye for a tale.

Peace out

Chad

Hey great thanks for checking Chumba out.

I'm really excited about working on it.

I didn't expect a response so quickly!

I will look into posting the images too.

Hey Mark,

I only had time to quickly browse the first couple of pages, but I dig the art so far. Your coloring is really good on these panels.

Made sure to bookmark it so I can read it later when I have time. Looking forward to it. :)

Thanks for visiting Jason.

You're site is fun. I like your art style as well.

The Boy who was born to Fart story is hilarious.

Keep up the good work.

Some very nice work you have flowing there so far! I love your colors, and the environments are great. This is definitely something that you should keep up and be proud of.

I have really been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and attention my little story has brought so far. I can't express how great it makes me feel to see people respond to this story - especially when there isn't much story there yet.

I'm hard at work with scripting and character designs for the first chapter. I will kust keep peppering the site with various updates.

Thanks again everyone!

Thanks Kazu, coming from you that means a great deal.

I think I heard/read somewhere that you dislike drawing the same thing twice. Was that correct?

If so I think we have similar sensabilities. I absolutely hate drawing the same thing over and over. Which makes it so strange that I work in both comics and animation. Honestly, I don't know what makes me keep coming back to it. Must be the desire to tell a cinematic styled story.

But I digress... Thanks for the encouragement. I never like my own stuff so hearing other people say they like what they see means a great deal to me.

Mark
