FOLLOWUP: So can we count you as another fan of Maya Deren turned comic creator?
Another? Heh heh! (She is a bit avant garde for my tastes..)
FOLLOWUP: Could you tell us a little about East Coast Rising? And to come back to style again, will you be adapting at all for TokyoPop? Though personally, I think TokyoPop publishing something by you while retaining your own distinctive style would really speak well for them as a publisher and show your work can have a wide reaching appeal without having to express a more traditional manga flavour.
East Coast Rising will be my first action/adventure! It's almost a cross between Mad Max and Jason and the Argonauts, except with ancient sea dinosaurs. I have 3 books planned for it so far. I don't want to say too much about it yet, I haven't even started drawing it!
Even though manga has had a big influence on my art, I think it's seen more through the storytelling and pacing than the way I draw the characters. Tokyopop understands this, and has never asked me to change my style.

thanks!!!
life aint nothin but comics and money

FOLLOWUP: Is there anything you're particularly proud of from your work in film and television you'd like our readers to seek out?
Most of the work I'm proud of is under wraps right now and hasn't been released. The stuff that's out there is a lot of commercials, but nothing that anybody would want to "seek out." I suppose if you're really curious, go rent "Spy Troops" and watch the fight sequences between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow. I directed all of those. And on the "Mr. Mom" music video by Lonestar I designed the characters and boarded it out.
FOLLOWUP: Tell us about the Agent 44 art digest, will this be a continous project with new volumes for when convention season rolls around?
I call it an art digest because it's more than just a bunch of sketches It's a collection of art that runs the gamut from finished work to initial concepts and sketches. It opens with a 10 page comic story about Lucy Nova, a space explorer with a penchant for adventure that often gets her in trouble. The idea is to publish a new volume each year at San Diego. It's a lot of fun to work on and I think that those who bought it enjoyed it a lot as well. Those interested can order it on my site.

Looks great Jon.
On the creator specific page for myself, Ryan and Richard...
the link to my website should be
www.skullduggery.com.au also you need to change mine and Ryan's name before the links. Currently Richard inhabits all 3 webspaces.
The whole thing looks great though. Thanks for taking the time.
