While I am always influenced by master Miyazaki's work, I am particularly fond of the illustrations and panel sequences in this book. His loose watercolors and vivid imagination leap off the pages, as if the book simply can't contain itself. These are short comic stories he did for Model Graphix magazine while working on films at Studio Ghibli. Included is the 16-page story that became
Porco Rosso. You can find these books at most Japanese bookstores (Asahiya and Kinokuniya) and they cost about 35 bucks (marked up a few bucks for being an import).

I'd say eBay is your best bet, if you don't have any Japanese bookstores in your area.

This is awesome I never knew about this one. Miyazaki is a true master of the craft. I only had the art of Spirited Away for him, but I have to find this one asap. I will say that the one art books I've always loved are the Capcom Illustrated books and the Final Fantasys.

I picked this up when I visited the Ghibli museum. But I have to say the coolest books were the collected storyboards for all the films! They are bound like little (well, actually, they are pretty thick, several hundred pages each) novellas. I spent all my $ on those...and I recommend them if you can find them. I picked up Cagliostro, Laputa, and Naussica.
