Here's a quick fan piece I did for Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan's DEMO. It's the only monthly comic I pick up on a regular basis... I thought, basically, the kid from this issue is like the anti-Copper, so I had fun drawing it...

Nice! I don't know the comic--but I wanna check it out.
Cool attitude and energy, great props in the BG.

Hehe. Hmm, you know, I don't think I've actually
enjoyed doing any of the Copper comics yet, so I guess the project is resilient to my short attention span...

if you haven't enjoyed doing the copper comics, i think one day you'll just break down and start drawing huge bloody battles and gore and schtuff. not that i don't like copper. it's just so...innocent.

Neat work, Kazu! Nice, um, nice everything as usual.
I followed the link to Demo and wow, I think I'll pick those up, and I don't usually splurge on comics these days.

Thanks guys. I highly recommend this book. Like I said, it is the only monthly pamphlet comic I do pick up. The complete short story format per issue works really well, and the stark black and white artwork is very effective. Good stuff.

A little late to the table here, but yeah, this is a cool piece. You pay homage to Becky's style really well, but your art sensibilities really shine through. Nice mix.
Also, I totally agree about the greatness of Demo (though I unfortunately missed the issue you're depicting here. thank god for comic-con. ait-planetlar booth here I come!

).

Cool Pic, Kazu. Demo is a very good read. I am a little suprised to hear you say that about Cooper though. You do such a great job with them. Hopefully, you have slightly warmer feelings toward Daisy Cutter, because that is a book I believe many of us are going to want to see come back again and again.

Very cool, Kazu. I have yet to read Demo (waiting for the collected TPB), but I've been a fan of both Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan's work, so the combination of the two...

I love the inking. Great job, Kazu. Let's see you make a comic, using this same inking style.
