Hi guys! It's been a while since I've posted anything, but here goes. Here's a few Northern Overexposure strips that I do weekly for newspapers in Finland. It's been running since 2003 and over the years it has transformed from one shot gags into a more longer storyline, a sort of sitcom following a group of students in their 20's. I use a lot of pop-culture references etc, but hope too much isn't lost in translation.
I apologise for the foul language and partly poor translation.
Oh, and a preview of the second book was posted here.
Wow, I love the art in these. I've read the first couple of strips and can see I will like the stories too. Very interesting seeing something from Finland! Have you translated these yourself then or would they be printed in English in Finland? Haha Just read the LOST strip. That's great!
Thanks man! Glad you're liking them. Yeah, I translate them myself, then run a double check with a friend of mine later on, when compiling them into a book.
Derrick > Don't even think about it, man! I have the same feelings time and time again, but that's all part of the profession, I guess. There's just so much awesome stuff out there, but I feel there's room for all of us anyhow. Just have to concentrate on getting your style and voice polished the way that it suits you.
Thanks! That wouldn't be a problem, I do ship abroad too. There are shirts going to the UK, Sweden and France already. If you're interested, drop me an email!
