New comic with old-school appeal

Post by agitainment » Mon Feb 02, 2009 6:12 pm

Hey, everybody!

I'm new to the Flight Forums and thought you all might get a kick out of my webcomic, Agitainment.comics! Well, techincally, Agitainment.comics is the anthology title, and the comic itself is called "U.F.O.". In any case, it's a retro sci-fi romp featuring kooky farmers, flying saucers, and alien invaders!

You can view the latest installment at http://agitainment.com/ics or start reading from the beginning at http://agitainment.com/ics/2008/12/22/ufo-part-1/.

Here's a sample from the latest page:

Other stories are available there as well, so feel free to explore and post responses.

Wow.

The site design is clever and great, the art itself is beautiful. Definitely looking forward to more, guy.

Great site Rick! You have a nice range of styles, and your ink work is fantastic! The samples here remind me of old Vault of Horror or Creepy.

Thanks for saying so, hpkomic. I appreciate it.

Speaking of black and white, I've been putting together some notes on the dying art of comic inking with a brush and was considering writing a semi-regular column on Agitainment.Comics about it.

Do you think anyone would be interested?

I've never used a brush, and I don't even use pens anymore, but I am sure it would be a fun article to read.
