Image posting problems!

Post by KevinR » Wed Feb 07, 2007 6:43 am

Can anyone please tell me why my images DON'T show up when I post them. I am linking from my website and using the img tags but they still don't show up. Here's an example:

You can even try the link and you'll see that the image shows up, but NOT in any of my posts.

So I thought maybe it had something to do with my service providers server or something and posted my images to imageshack and tried that as well, but still no luck.

WHY?

Thank you
Kev

I don't know anything about this stuff, but I think it's the "&" in the filename. Files without that seem to post okay.

Because you're using the '&' character in your filename, you'll need to use the URL-encoding equivalent. In this case, '&' = '%26', so the url you should be using instead should be:

http://www.kevinrichter.com/MaxGorilla/ ... 01_033.jpg

Most browsers are smart enough to figure out the encoding equivalent on their own, but some things (like this board) can't do that. So yeah, like Neil, I'd suggest staying away from using fancy characters in your filenames, just to be safe.
