Read Flight2/3 before 1?

Hi everybody, I'm new around here!

I recently discovered Copper from boltcity and then heard of the Flight Comics. As I was fascinated by all the art, I rushed to Amazon (Germany) to get my copys. Sadly they themselves only had Volume 2 and 3 - but a bookstore on Amazon marketplace offered Volume 1, so I ordered all three, yay \o/

Then I got a mail from the bookstore telling me, Volume1 was sold out and they would try to import it and that could take a while. Today Amazon told me, they had sent Vol2/3.

Long story, short: Can I read Volume 2 and 3 before I read Vol1? Or is there something in it that I would not understand without the first volume?

Thanks in advance,

P.S.: I can't wait for the mailman :)

Hi Duddle,

The stories are all self-contained, so reading 2 or 3 before 1 won't affect the narratives. If you do want a copy of Volume One, however, you can contact [email protected] ( and ask for a copy (just tell them I sent you there). I still have a bunch of copies in their store room. The drawback is that the shipping costs will be pretty high. Otherwise, you can wait for the re-release of Volume One from Random House this spring...

Thanks for picking up copies of the books! :D

Unless you're following Michel Gagnes story.

Right, in that case, he should read 2 then 3. (Michel's not in Volume 1)

Yay for FLIGHT!

The mailman was here today, I "carefully ripped" open the package and ooohh'ed and aaahhh'ed at the cover. Normally I don't read comics, but the beautiful art in those 2 books just... baffled me.
Well, after I read the first story (Inner Sanctum) I closed the book and deciced, that I'd only read one story per day, to enjoy both volumes as much as possible!

I hope the first book will be here before I'm through vol2 :P

Good job @ everybody involved , I'm very impressed!
