Sigh....alright.....ask Kazu or Jake. I know near EVERYBODY in the industry. Not know them as in, "my friend", but I'm really good with names. Or am I?

I've been asking everyone who Mal is. "He's working for Oni?" "What's he done?" And it's been driving me nuts, since I usually know the up and comers, old fogeys, ect.

So, while doing my Flight promotion rounds today, I see Scott Pilgrim on the stands (cursing my store for not holding it for me AS I F'N ASKED) and the link is made clear.

I'm a retard.

I MET Mal at Comicon and even ASKED him what he was doing, and somehow I didn't hear it or it didn't register. Somehow, I totally missed this thread as well. I even looked right at Mal's badge, read Bryan O'Malley, and thought the name sounded familiar....

So, I actually met the guy who did a book I've been looking forward to, and never put it together. I think it's the "Mal" nickname.
Either way, I'm retarded.

It also took me two days at the con to figure out that the Eric at the booth was the same Eric I gleefully clicked through each emotion.

I'm chalking it up to having too much audio-visual information at the con.
Retardation is the true blame, I'm afraid.

Anyway...I'm holding Scott Pilgrim in my hands right this very minute, and am ready to dig in!

Joel- I don't really remember meeting you either, so don't worry about it. Too many people. Also, when meeting Flight people, I mostly tried to stay in the background and be Hope's Nondescript Husband... :)

I just read the review at iComics.com. I do believe I'll be looking for this next time I'm at the shop. :D
