I dont like 80's music all that much, but the station Agremar mentioned Indie 103.1 is GREAT...they supply all my listening needs.

I have been listening to Jonsey's Jukebox lately, its got a great mix of old time rock, I especially like when he has guests on and he asks them to do accoustic renditions of songs that influenced them, pretty darn swell. The other day Jonsey had the lead singer from the Knack on and he sang some Who stuff...

Currently: MP3 singles from Bearsuit's website. I just learned about them this morning, and these guys and gals are bunches of fun. The part where they sing in binary on "Itsuko Got Married?" Genius.

Neil, that is so awesome. Thanks!

Is this a cover? Chan seems to be quoting a bunch of hip hop songs (especially in the chorus), but it seems to be bits and pieces from various songs.

No problem Kean.

Yeah I don't think it's a cover, though I'm not sure. Have you heard her cover of a Mary J. Blige song? I think it's a Peel Session... I can't find it but I hear it's really great.

Neil, do you mean this one?

Cat Power - Deep Inside

Currently listening to the December Mix at The Catbirdseat (check the Dec. 2nd entry). I am truly loving those Elephant Micah songs.

Are people aware of Jens Lekman's Department of Forgotten Songs? Well, if you didn't, there you go.

Also: some, er, interesting photos of Pink, and 5 excellent "Pink" MP3s over at Stereogum.

For those of you who like solo artists who make full use of pedal-looping technology (a la Joseph Arthur or Jon Brion), you might get a kick out of this:

Owen Pallett in a solo performance as Final Fantasy. The song is "Many Lives." I always love it when artists harmonize to their own looped performances, and this is no exception. Also, he is screaming into his violin. You can't beat that, I say.

Currently: S' Puking and Crying (for the umpteenth time), tracks from Sonoma Aero's EP, and a track ("Single Again") from the Fiery Furnaces' forthcoming EP.
