Hi,

I've decided to finally put my student film online, which was completed in summer, 2006. The short is 6 minutes, and took 8 months from concept to final. Since the film is on youtube, the quality isn't the greatest, but you'll get the idea anyways. Hope you like it!

you can find a link to the film on the main page of my site...

dang i can't believe you did all of the art for that animation; it's so hard to get good at just 1 thing let alone get good at everything. the artwork and animation all came out great good job :)

Holy Hell!

That was an AWESOME student film!!!!!

Can you please tell us a bit about your educational back ground. The animation department at CCAD were I went couldn't have trained their animation students to pull something like that off. How was your major structured??

thanks for sharring!

Thanks for the comments !

JoshuaTheJames - I did a 4 year degree at Emily Carr in animation. The first year is just basic fine arts, you do sculpting, painting, drawing, woodwork, metalwork, printmaking etc. Years 2 and 3 are doing many different types of animation, lots of 2D, stop motion, paint on glass, cutout, 3D, etc. The final year, you basically take what you've learned, choose a medium and do a short film. The projects vary alot from student to student, and usually cover every art style and medium possible. I learned more from other students than my teachers. Its great being in that environment and feeding off everyones different approach to art.
