congratulations! The cover of Flight 3 is still my favorite though. You just have a way to nail this peaceful, grand feeling. Thanks!

Lovely and atmospheric. Sure to look great on any wall (but not as great as on mine).

What I wouldn't give for a whale ship *sigh*

This looks so awesome in its huge format for the show, it has a lot of presence! One of my favorites from you, still. =)

Thanks everyone! The piece did turn out well at its full print size. It's massive!

Joshua > My Flight 4 story is done in my color comicking style, but it does have a high level of detail. Here's the first page:

James > I used a brush that I created a long time ago, which is just a variation on a spatter brush that is in the default photoshop library. It's pretty easy to create really neat brushes by just adjusting the ones they already have. When I realized that this is what Tadahiro does, it gave me the confidence to step away from Khang's brushes (which are made from scratch) and use my own variations!

Again, thanks all! :D

You know what the problem is posting here on the Flight boards? You run out of ways to say how amazing everyone's art looks and are reduced to saying things like "awesome!" or "cool!" when what you really mean is "That peice is so well done and inspiring I can't think of anything to say except 'awesome' or'cool'!" So...

Awesome, Kazu!

That is awesome. I love those clouds.

Comic looks nice, too :)

almo: That is so true. I feel like a total dolt after giving that kind of comments to a number of posts now, but what can you do ? :)

Oh wow.

*sets image as desktop*

Seriously, if you keep posting images like this in this forum my desktop rotation is going to be dominated by Kazu pieces with none of my own art in the mix.

Hey Kazu! Really like your picture. That's a fascinating image, like from a dream... I love the way you play with lights!!!! I'm impressed!

A friend from the States gave me this site as a way to improve my artwork. I was planning on posting some of my work and getting some pointers from you guys. But... after looking at pics like this one I am thinking about not wasting everyone's time....

Your art is always amazing Kazu! :D
And the cover of the next Flight is great, it got a classic greatness to it like a 70mm actionadventure movie. Blown away ;) It somhow also reminds me of Fantasia 2000 and THHGTTG (The Hitch Hiker´s Guide..) There must be something spesial about flying whales.

And the Windowmakerstory looks like it follow up the classic feel of the Flight cover and great storytelling from your past. Looking forward to this :D :D
