Makeshift Book Launch Image

Post by Zubby » Mon Nov 13, 2006 6:37 pm

Tying in to my livejournal post about my book launch party, here's an image I illustrated to help promote the event:

It was fun taking the things I've been learning about Photoshop and revisiting the character, especially since there's very few pictures of her in full color.

If you want to see a step-by-step of how the piece progressed with a few tips, you can check it out here at my Deviantart page.

it's lovely, good use of a gradient. (i.e. it isn't noticeable)

Nice colours, great feel and a lovely character, but for some reason I'm not a fan of the face and I really couldn't specify why.

I like the image. It got a warm glow to it somehow. :)
