this is fun!

For some reason that pumpkin man reminds me of garfield... don't know why lol.

- Garfield...? You know what? You're right.... see next message.

Yup. Colors. Too 80s. Too Garfield Halloween Special. I desaturated and tried to remove a little of the 80s from it. Refresh the graphic above. Hopefully it's better now.

Thanks for the compliments and the feedback.

I like the picture...but am I the only one disturbed by the subtext? Or maybe more disturbed that I like it? I think I need to lie down...(but I like it)

Is that kid going to get carved?

I know what you mean. It took me until the picture was actually complete before the subtext actually hit me.

But I'd prefer to think the kid will come out of it OK in the end. He *is* armed, and you know he loves cutting on pumpkins...

OR perhaps the next frame is:

PUMPKINHEAD: "Here. Use this knife instead..."
LITTLE BOY: "Gee, thanks, mister!"

very nice, i like the colors (a little interested in seeing what the original 'garfield' colors were like) and the content. great detail, like the width on the newspaper. i'm wondering if the pumpkin face could have used a little depth on the cutouts or if that would have de-characterized it a bit. very nice though!

power to the lefties!

Feast your eyes on this and try not to vomit. Here it is in all its oversaturated and 80s-chromalicious glory.

For ease of comparison, here's the new, less saturated one:

radiomouse - Thanks for the compliments. Glad you like the thickness of the newspaper - that's something I always try to do with things like paper, trying to mimic that wonderful made-of-clay feel of so many things in the Wallace & Gromit universe.

As for the cutouts on the pumpkin, the kid hasn't actually begun cutting it yet. He's only drawn the design on it. Should have included a pen in the foreground, I s'pose. :)

Pascal - Thanks!

Justin - Thank you for the compliment, and I'm glad you agree with the less hacky colour scheme.

As for your wordplay, stay right where you are. The Pun Police have been dispatched... :D
