Designing Vinyl Gnomes

Post by Duzty23 » Fri Jul 28, 2006 4:46 pm

- I have been currently creating a various assortment of characters over at Mojizu.com, just to have something to do on the side of my other work... I have been in the process of developing a t-shirt line, and the more I fish through my ideas, the more I am seeing possible development for vinyl design as well. So far, I have three possible characters that may fit the bill, with more the way... but I am trying to fixate on which one should start it up...

Feedback welcome... I don't care if it's negative... I want it all!

- Anything opinions you guys can offer would be greatly appreciated...

gnomes are the shit. especially yers. awesome stuff, man.

a suggestion: perhaps ink them? or make it look like they're been inked

what do you use to colour?

do all three!

I'd kinda look for a blend of Mad's hat on Uber's body, but with slightly more normal arms, and 'quieter' eyes. You've got some good designs here, though. Seriously consider doing all of them.

- Well, aside from creating a few more characters, I also managed into Moji War!!

Uber Gnorm VS. Bunny the Butcher!

- Now I just need almost every piece of support I can find... Last I looked, I was trailing... I pray I do not go out without a least a little fight...

And now... Two New Gnomes!!!

I have been making mock ups for the final and feel once converted to vinyl... Give the people I'm pitching an idea of what is possible with these characters. Lemme what you all have to say....

Nice! I like the undead gnome myself (is Krispie based off the KFC logo?)

I'm curious about what kinds of companies take submissions for toy ideas? How do you find them? What are the pitches like? (if you don't mind sharing of course :)

- "Krispie"?!? ah, yeah... that character has kinda had this bastard son of the Colonel from the get go... I would love to take all of them eventuallly to someone, but for now, I am just working on variations to give them a a taste..

- As for companies, a friend of mine is helping me try and step in the door, just trying to get a feel... he believes I have potential... we'll see...
