New Pen sketch

Post by aaron » Wed Nov 30, 2005 12:43 am

Well I saw these two girls while I was eating some lunch and I realized, You could look at them and think they were either a mirrored image of one girl or two sisters reading....
So I had to draw them. This is a five minute sketch.

Usually in pencil I do face first, but for these that makes me to tense and tight. So I start with a fold or cloth were I don't have to be so precise. And I pretty much look more then I draw. making fast direct decisions.
It's fun, you should give it a shot. I showed some kids I work for on fridays teaching comic art the benifits of pen. They loved it.
thx for the comment.

nice sketches
sketching from life can be hard, especially when they notice you sketching them they tend to move.
you got them down good

Yea, they can move. The two girls didn't know, but Nahrissa posed for me. So she stayed pretty still. I like imagination drawing and life drawing. Had a pretty good drawing today, maybe later I'll scan it in. Tomorrow i got a illio too.

The dwarf man thing is soo cool! The details are really awesome, especially on the tree. Great job.
