::Update:: New drawing of Mill with background...

Post by The_Noik » Fri Oct 07, 2005 3:28 pm

Ok, I've decided to going to make a comic.
My capabilities are not that far yet, but I just want to try.

First of all, I'm busy with creating a storyline, which is quite good!
Several people have readed it and were suprised, starting to say:
"Well, if you can create this, it would become a good comic..."

(Its late now, but I'll translate it as soon as possible, because its written in dutch.)

I also have made two characters, one colour, the other one still needs some:

Soon I'll update this thread with a coloured version of Jack, and the translation of the notes.

Yeah, Mill still needs to be worked out alittle more.

Shes also more difficult, not knowing a clothing style for her either...

A small drawing of Mill again, but this time, a coloured doodle.
Image
Only, this drawing makes me think: What would look better,
with or without shadows?

Maybe an odd question, since shadow is a important piece of art in drawings.
But I really have something like, "adoubt it if it would do good.".

Oh well, does anyone have some C&C?
Would like to hear them...please...?

K, I really like the last one of Mill. I think you should add shadows, but not too much.

The arms and legs are too stick-like. They need to have a bit more shape to them. Like Jack's left arm should be a little higher up.

Aside from that, it's all good. I'm a fan of Mill.

Keep it up.

I've added some very light and soft shadows,
thx Daedalus, now only need to get that stickness away. ;)

Shadows have definitely improved since the top of this thread.

Thx, JDalton and Antsky0. :D

I'm also still trying to create a background for.
Tried somethings with mountains yesterday, but that failed...
So,I'm going to try a forest, hope it works this time.

(I'm really not good in backrounds...:()
