Monster Kids Book... (6 images)

Post by chuckbb » Wed Mar 23, 2005 2:38 pm

So this was a class assignment I was working on for a kids book about a kid dreaming about becoming a monster and all the things he'd do. I did it in illustrator, but photoshop seems to have muted the colors quite a bit so it looks a little too muddy in my opinion. (if anyone knows how to make good jpgs or flat images of illustrator files let me know..)

anywho let me know what you think.

All I keep thinking as I see these is:

As you grow up, you'll start knowing certain changes in your body. Do not worry, you're a man now, son!

I just can't stop laughing now.

Good stuff!
It follows the continuity of the third Ziganokum movie. It stars Shrub Mikanore as Ziganokum and Bizzorum. With Johothin Griggor as Nebulox.

I think most of these are really great. My favorites are 2 and 4. Good job. As for the colors, maybe the illustrator files are CMYK. That sometimes gives a color difference when you try to open them in PS as RGB.

Really nice stuff! The second and third ones are definitely my favorites, and I really like how there aren't really any black outlines.

drakered - hehe The cookies are actually Chocolate rocks, but i suppose some text would help explain that.
"if I had monster teeth
and a monster tounge
eating rocks would be more than fun
not to mention chomping on the chocolate ones..."

peng8noodles - the vendors had it coming for some time.
Clio - thankyouuu
Kazu - Tanx
Clank - thats the plan my friend. outlines are for suckaz, now i'm gonna go ink somethin.
Hupselipup - its all illustrator, the texture is just a photographic texture layed over the shape and fiddled with a bit.
captainuglyhead - strange hairs popping up in strange places?

Hey Chuck, did you used to do a black metal webcomic?
I think I remember you posting it on the nothing nice board and it was really good.
