Because they're plums...and I'm a plum for not knowing who Bungie are...so basically the reason has something to do with plums.

what's Halo? :P

Thanks Jay.P :D

Cheers Dan :D I'm really enjoying developing a more expressive branch of my work. Mucho fun. Love me some retro scifi art.

Halo is a popular video game, for the Xbox. Seriously, you should do art for the video game industry.

Yeah, you should totally do some concept work for video games and stuff. This is an awesome piece!

I'd love to, theres not a lot of it over here in the UK unfortunately. I think it works a little differently in the US, but over here they like one guy to be able to concept the character, model, texture it, rig it, basically follow it through from start to finish. Which is a real pain because my 3D modelling stills are negligible.

Cheers Walter. The whole piece took about 6 hours. Bungies in Washington? I'll certainly make a note of it thanks. One of my mates has family in New York and if he goes over again, I might go too. Besides I'm tired of missing out on all the good comic cons you lot have the nerve to post in general discussion.

YES! 2/2! LOL, better quit while I'm ahead. :D

Cheers DrakeRed, yeah I was going for the kind of saturated colours you see in some of the older sci-fi art. Painting all those Star Trek pictures as a kid finally paid off.

Thanks Woody. :D I'd love to do concept art, I'm slowly mustering my skills together ready for the day when I take over the world...or get a job; which ever comes first, I'm easy.

Cheers guys.

Thanks Motive, I appreciate it.

I've tried Rare, Lionhead, Atari, Codemasters, The Creative Assembly and a whole slew of others. I get some very nice responses from some of them, but basically the message I get is sorry we're full, but we'll keep you on file.

Very discouraging. Looks like it's Tesco for me.

Because I am the Overlord of my work and if I say explode, than it all explodes MWA HA HA!  :D

Seriously though this piece splits people 50/50, they can either see it or they can't. Which is obviously a fault on my part. I'm glad I treated this piece as a warm up rather than a final design. I'll have to be even more careful with the placement of my obscure ships in the future. If it helps the ships are shaped a little like angel fish and they're both facing away from us. I didn't want to add enemy ships to the piece so I decided to add an energy beam coming off screen from the right and punching through the ship on that side, just adds a little mystery to the piece.
