Leaving...on a jet plane

Post by douglas a. bot » Sun Nov 21, 2004 6:45 am

I haven't posted any artwork in a goodly long time. So i thought i would post up some of the work thats currently keeping me chained to my table and away from natural light.

Illustrations for the first in a series of 4 books on odd, humourous and lesser known historical facts about Australia. Book one (Amazing Australia: Airborne) written by Kev "chocks away" Patrick covers the history of aviation and flight in this wide brown land...from the first turn of the century box kite Wright flyers, to the bombing of Darwin, breaking the sound barrier and everything in between.

I also spent the weekend redesigning and rebranding my website. So if you are so inclined check it out (I've updated with a fair bit of new work) and change your bookmarks to http://www.skullduggery.com.au.

regards,

d.

I love these! Technically they hit the spot, and emotionally, well, they remind me of books I used to get out of the school library when I was small. They're a step removed from photographic, but they're so massive and machiney you believe in them. :)
