colour illustrations

Post by caroline » Mon Sep 06, 2004 7:01 am

Hi.

I'm a newbie and seeing as everyone here is intimidatingly, inspiringly good, I thought I'd ask folk's opinion on some stuff.javascript:emoticon('')
I'm starting a loosely horror-themed comic and it's the fist bit of sequential art I've ever done in colour(I have problems with colour)

1)any helpful comments?
2)This is in ink, tarted up with some filters on Photoshop.I was thinking of trying colouring some pages entirely on Photoshop.Any tips on how to use colour in a quick, subtle way in that program?

Hi Caroline,

Welcome to the forums. I'd love to see your work, but the link to your picture appears to be broken and I'm having the same trouble getting to your website in the same way. :)

It seems to be showing now.Just in case, I'll stick up another link.Apologies for my pathetic computer skills:sometimes I feel very nostalgic for the days when people used to draw on cave walls with bits of charred wood.
The link is also here:

wow, really amazing stuff. I really like the quality of light that you manage to capture with your... I'm guessing coloured pencils and ink?
