Okay, you asked for it. Hehe. Actually, I've wanted to do this project for a while now, as many of my friends know (since I've been bugging them for some time...) Well, look for daily updates to begin around November or thereabouts...

Very clever, sneaking the announcement into the DEMO thread...
we eagerly anticipate.

Hey, that doesn't look like Patrick McGoohan!
(Sorry. Saw the title and that was the first thought that came to my head
Look forward to seeing more)

Daily updates?! Are you SURE you can handle it? Hehe.
I can't wait.

Don't worry, Michael. I'll be working ahead of myself on this one...

The prisoners...hmmm...well, you got me curious with just one drawing.
Looking forward to read it.

taking on more work are we, as if you weren't making the rest of us look bad already... all joking aside, those little doodles of the guys in the jail suits look very fun to draw, can't wait to see what you do with this.

Say, Kazu the small piece about Prisoners on your main site, the two mice...
Were you getting some inspiration from the Animaniacs? (Pinky and the Brain)

But I didn't expect you to get around to it so soon, with everything on your plate! I'm very happy to see it taking shape though.
Kazu's little description of the comic really got me interested. I'm very much looking forward to this--as I was telling him, it seems to have a charming premise and just the perfect level of abstraction.

Unwen > No. The characters were quick random sketches I did a long while back trying to create characters that were incredibly simple for me to draw while also being strikingly iconic. In the end, I had a couple of characters that were very much influenced by the work of George Herriman and Jim Jarmusch, more than anything...
Neil > Thanks. I really like the feel and aesthetic of the comic so far, and I feel really unsure whether people are really going to get it, which may be a good thing. Hehe. I also would not have taken on the project if it weren't possible for me to do within my hectic schedule. In fact, I kinda created it for me to have something to do while trying to get my mind off Daisy Kutter (since the workload for the series is unlike anything I've tackled before, as you know). Drawing these comics are like a relief after doing Daisy pages...
I hope you all like this one.

Dude, the Prisoners looks like a nice concept. I'm assuming it's going to be a gag strip?
Good luck with the project.
