When I looked at this earlier, I could have sworn that I saw cloud lines in the background. I'm obviously going crazy. I kind of liked them, too.

Well, very cool! I really like all the details on the pants. Oh, and in the Hellboy art book, in Mike Mignola's notes, he says to never draw the palm of the Right Hand of Doom. Hehe. No big deal, I just wanted to show off my Hellfanboy-ness. :D

yes it's digital ink - good eye - most people don't catch that. I use a Wacom tablet and the rake tool in Painter 6. Digital inking is a lot faster and cleaner plus you don't have to worry about messing up. This took about 20 minutes.

Wow, impressive. I wouldn't think that was inked on a computer unless you said something. Hadn't realized the technology for digital inking was that good.

My only crit is that his big glove hand seems a bit flat compared to the body. Having some spot blacks there might help that out.

Nick's sketches ain't too bad either. Nice poses for Hellboy.

Nice piece. The glove looks a bit akward to me but it doesnt bother. The sketches are beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I thought the stone hand was lacking in definition in comparison to the rest of him, too. More black = more awesome.

Nice use of Liefeld Mist to make up for the sketch not having feet. Obviously, having feet would be better, but that's not for you to worry about as the inker.
