Sketches

Not long ago I read Pascal Campion's plea about showing your sketches to people and not just finished illustrations in order to grow as an artist. This was some excellent advice and since I've started some preliminary work on the next story of my comic "Semmie the Forest gnome" I thought I put this good advice in to practice and show my sketches.

A lot of new characters, objects and landscapes will be introduced in this next story and I thought it would be a good idea to make a start designing these new characters.

The most important new characters will be a pilot gnome and a sparrow so I started on those first. I also made a few sketches of an airplane but I need to make quite some technical drawings of it before it will look flight worthy.
