Science fiction film "Errans Viridis"

Post by Michael J. Dowswell » Tue Jan 12, 2010 9:13 am

Hi,

I’m a independent filmmaker who’s been doing it with no budget now for seven years. I’ve just recently entered the Your Big Break New Zealand competition.

Have a look here if you have a love for science fiction. If anyone here is a big fan of classical music combined with science fiction...then it may also interest you.

The idea behind this is that there are 5 lucky winners...1 of which wins by a voting system...and 4 who are selected by a panel. All 5 are given $100,000 NZ to make the idea into a proper film.

I find this to be a strangely compelling start - I, for one, would like to see the rest! Of the two you entered in the competition, this one seems to be the stronger of them, at first viewing. It has a feel somewhere in between Ray Bradbury's The Maritan Chronicles and Fritz Lang's Metropolis, like Saturn 7 and While They Slept, which I enjoyed very much mainly because of this.
