That is some sweet inking there. Tell us some more. How long did it take?
The folds are very tangible.

It took a bit of time drawing the initial sketch because the stripes began blurring together after staring at it too long. But once it was all planned out and I started inking, it wasn't too bad. I should start timing myself, cause I don't know exactly how long it took!

I echo Jacob! The inking is superb, Frances. And I like the minute details around the nose and cheeks.

Oh don't get me wrong. I searingly hate the picture. Loath. Scorchingly. And other flaming synonyms.
No seriously, post more, the realistic style is to die for.

I'm very detailed oriented, yet love messy mistakes. I do plan on doing some more illustrations like this, (now that I have some personal time).
I'm actually having a small show with fellow illustrators in Toronto in August. I'll post my work once I've gone through the motions!
