its been a while since i've posted any art here. i couldn't help sketching uhura after watching the new star trek (twice now!). i totally loved that movie.

I like your coloring/lighting here! My only nitpick would be that her pose looks a bit unbalanced.

I love love love the background on this one, Mike! You keep getting looser and looser on these and this one is just great. Great color choices and overall design.

I agree that she looks a bit unbalanced, though.

Great... but I would get rid of her right ear... it doesn't need to be there, and it is getting in the way of the silhouette of her face.

Neil, maybe she is being swooned by Spock playing the Vulcan Lute?

thanks guys! and yeah i agree- she's one alien planet breeze away from falling over. i like dik's swooning theory better though! :)

You know..when I first read Dik's comment I was...?What?
THEN I saw the movie( which I absolutely Loved, but this is not the point)..and I was like...HAHAHAHA I GET IT!

I do have to say that she does seem off balance though.
that apart, your style has evolved so much these past two years. It's a pleasure to see that!

Hehe, I haven't even seen the new Star Trek *gasp nerd shame* and I think this is awesome. :)

The body position is fine, whatever - I agree about the ear though. Still, great as always.
