Terror

Post by celeste » Mon Sep 15, 2008 2:00 pm

I met Matthew Armstrong at an art show the other day and nearly fainted. After I was done embarrassing myself he told me about these forums and said I should post my stuff! I'm still embarrassing myself, but hopefully this will be a productive way of doing it.

Heaven only knows what would happen if I ever manage to get myself to a comic-con.

Good colors, fun designs, you're my kinda artist - and that third illustration is especially killer!

Welcome to the boards, Celeste.

Happy to have you! I like the shark one too, and how you lead the eye around the image.

I really like the designs and patterns you've worked into the trees and the waves, etc. Very nice work.

I really like the 2nd one, though the colours are a little muddy in places and it's kind of hard to read what's happening.
My experience with cons is getting really tired and spending all my money! :)

Thanks for the comments and the kind welcome, everyone! Sanaril, if you could expound on which parts look a little muddy and unclear, that would be great. I want to get better at this, so good critiques are always welcome!
Here's a few more piratey pictures.

Yay!!! Celeste is on the flight boards.

What a great seiries of pirate illustrations. Are they for a story??? Is looking like a fun story to me.

I peeked at your website. I really liked your self portrait cartoon, it was funny.

Hey Rohwer I'm in salt lake too! Thats at least 3 utahns so far :)

C: I suspect if you go to comicon you'd meet lots of cool like minded artists... find opportunities and of course spend lots of money and be tired.

Mathew- Yup! My pirates are for a story! I'm gonna post some of it here as soon as I've got enough worth showing. it's all in hideous sketch form right now. I caaaann't wait to go to a con. Do you know of any comic-related things going on in Utah?

Hey! These are really fun - I like your style. It's really busy, but that works for it, I think.
