Hong Kong dive (update 9/18 - Finally got it right!)

So I dropped off the boards once again...

I wanted to draw the new armor from Dark Knight. I'll continue working on this, but tell me what you think of the sketch.

the rendering looks impeccable right now....excellent proportions....its sound

my only crit would be to maby put his arms out some ina diving motion mabye? change the legs stance as well.

i know in the flic he was doing a zero drop, but im not sure the rigid stance translates well into the drawing. it looks kinda likes he standing up as he falls.

just an idea. rad ass drawing regardless

Hey Threshold,

I didn't know you hailed from Orlando too, man.

Anyhow, I think his head looks kind of big, though I guess that could be the slightly larger cowl/headpiece, and I'll echo floods sentiment about the pose. It's a little stiff.

I can tell, though, that you put some effort into this. Keep it up man, and post more.

flood - you're right. The jump pose from the movie would be hard to replicate, but I think I need to reposition the arms. Maybe the legs too.

Kid Galactus - yep, Orlando. :) You might be right about the head. I'll take a second look.

Frank - how do you mean?

Be carefull not to break the armour up into too many little pieces.

Thanks to all commentors.
I did some more work on this (actually started as soon as the crits came in.) I've posted the edit to the first post (though the scan could be cleaner.)

My original pose was... poorly thought out. It's now much less frozen. The head has been reduced a bit. I'm still not sure whether the cape was bad but I've repositioned it and it works better.

Anteater, I'm not sure I know to what you're referring. I tried not to fragment the chest pieces.

How's it look?

What I mean is: The armour is already divided into many little pieces, and it looks good, but be careful not to split it upp too much, or it will just look messy.

Oh, and the new pose looks MUCH better. It's more the "haha, I have a glider cape!" rather than "haha, I have rockets in my shoes!"
