I like it. The background could use some toying with. I want to say a bit more detail, maybe it should be a little faded/possibly darkened? to address the distance between the man and the house. More contrast, I think is the word I'm searching for, because it looks like you did acknowledge that to a degree.

The style reminds me a little of that animation "The Man With No Shadow," which is a cool thing.

I think that it loses depth like Harry Myland said because the house is so crisp back there, and it seems like if the stuff in front is smudgy, the background wouldn't get crisper as it receded...
