Here's Miss Patty's Home for Wayward Dogs. As usual I don't really know where I'm going with it...

I've been working on a bunch of stuff because I'm about to send out some portfolios. Yay, portfolios! Also, my background design class only has two weeks left, so I've got a bunch of backgrounds to finish for that. Here are two rough backgrounds (with a little tone added in photoshop, so I could get a sense of that) plus another picture with sheep! I don't know why sheep are so big with me lately.

there's something I kind of prefer about my thumbnail for that one:

I do like the canyon and the boat, pontoon/pavements pictures.

I've been working on an animation for some time now that is based in a canyon. Took me ages to get the perspective right. At first I just lost the whole frame to the canyon walls, just didn't make sense...

Anyway :D

Thanks Felix! Yeah, canyons are kind of a pain because it seems like no matter what, they just draw your eye straight down the canyon.

Thanks Campy! I have another one in the same lonely houses w/ sheep vein I can't wait to color. Just need a bit of free time.

In the meantime, I redid these backgrounds and did value studies over them (if you want to see the line work, it's on my blog).

Thank you Mathias!

@campy I know, I haven't posted in ages! Yikes! Thanks for the encouragement. :)

Here's a new one - I colored up a little thumbnail I had lying around and added a dog. I just got a dog, and now he seems to show up in my drawings a lot. :)
[edit, I just realized, the colors would work better like this, so I changed it - here is the original]
