hey, thanks bluebottle!

I've got to start posting again! I've been all wrapped up in work and family what with the holidays and all. But now I'm back to a normal schedule. This was just a quick sketch before bed.

Night all (I guess good morning to some)! :)

Small octopi are often especially fierce fencers.

And here's a bird that's not terribly bright.

I got to play with my friend's Cintiq. I want one of those so bad. I like the Intuos and all, but I really find it easier to draw right under the pen - especially for long straightish lines. Those always seem to be the hardest for me on the regular tablet. I also find it easier to get compositions I like and shapes I like. I've always noticed that it's easier to get interesting shapes drawing on paper. Dunno, moral of this long story is - I enjoyed playing around with the Cintiq.

Still loving all of these, the last one is awesome…great colours and line work / composition.

Definitely understand what your saying about the graphic tabs...I’ve never been able to really get into them, for feelings that I just don’t have enough control...but this Cintiq device thingy sounds good.

Thank you! Yeah, if you ever get to play around with a cintiq, they're a lot of fun!

I was just playing around with Painter before bed, but I think it's the most successful thing I drew all day!

That is gorgeous...I love the branches here and there on middle to left. The composition and colour on this is extremely good.

Thanks, man!

Here's some new stuff. I have no idea where I'm going with this... It's an experiment. It's just nice to take a break from portfolioing for a little while. Plus, I finally got Photoshop on the new computer after 6 months. I didn't realize how much I use Photoshop until I didn't have it on my everyday computer.

First a little color sketch:

And some different backgrounds I've been working on for class. They're all still just blue pencil and two of them are still kind of rough:
