Ooh wow I love your composition and fanciful, lively subjects. I like what you did with the blue shadows in the orange desert and the purple shadows in the red one. Also the greenish skies. It seems like you have a solid foundation with your colors and I don't see it taking you too long to create some really interesting combinations.

Thanks a bunch guys! That means a lot :)

Here's a sea dragon - I think I want to add a touch of background later - when I do I'll just update this image.

I went to the zoo the other day and drew the sifakas for a while. They are so much fun to watch, and at least at the LA zoo, hardly anyone seems to go over there! I happened to see my sketches from the zoo and decided to do a little sifaka picture today.

Thanks a bunch Vear!

Here's another, I'm actually not so thrilled with the composition, but I like the way the penguin worked and it was fun doing the ocean.

[edit - actually, I just pushed the ice way over to the left and now I like it a lot better][/i]

the composition is actually OK, BUT.... the JOY the penguin seems to be having is totally great! Whatever issues your having with the composition, It doesn't bother me at all!
I'm really really liking this universe of yours!

Thanks man! As long as he seems properly joyful, I've gotten the job done!

Today's was inspired by a little hike in the Olympic mountains up here in WA. Very gorgeous. I guess there's not really a story, but isn't a trail story enough? Was that cheesy enough? :P

You don't happen to be a fan of John Avon, do you? Because the bottom right one in the landscape chart looks very familiar...

I really like the little forest one, the last one in the 2nd last post. It has a nice mood for sure. If you keep this up it will be interesting to see where you are in a year :)

Anteater: I'd never heard of him, but his stuff is really cool!
Thanks Sanaril!

New stuff! My sister is on her way to france so I drew her a very stereotypical french version of Phil the penguin. :P

And the topic for animajors last week was Zombies and this week it was Gangsters, and since I skipped Zombies, I decided to combine them. But then I forgot that zombies are slow and slouchy, so mine is rather spritely.

I really like your choice of colors. Especially on the sifakas. And the cat you did on the previous page is very nice, very graphic. Can't wait to see more.
