Thanks mr cow!
Very slowly moving forward...you see the inside sequence at the end there?...that version and two other versions have been made...its all getting quite hard to decide which one to go for. I ended up doing this green vehicle instead to get a away from it...lol.

And heres a older image I did.

I've not heard of Gadget and cant seem to find any pictures of the Sensorama. I'd love to see it though...have you got any pictures of it?Mr. Average wrote:The upper object seems very similar to the Sensorama in Haruhiko Shono's Gadget. Did that inspire you? Have you ever heard of Gadget?
What did happen though once I’d made about 70% of it, I was suddenly surprised to see that bits of it sort of looked similar to Starbug from Red Dwarf.

There was an art book attatched to the game called "Inside Out With Gadget" that I once owned, but have since lost. I love the style, and it was similar to yours - what I've heard called "Tesseract Science," a mixture of high tech and retro mechanisms. If you can find the book I recommend it. I always liked it as an example of the "fait accompli" style of literature, even though it's not quite "literature."
The opening line remains one of my favorites: "And in the end, a comet collided with the planet."

Awesome...thanks for that...I really like the train on the front cover. Didn’t know Gadget was a videogame / interactive movie. It does sound and look very interesting.
Yes, I tend to just create everything with capsule shapes, spheres, cylinders, tubes and altered cubes…which probably means somewhere along the line, my things will look like other things...it's something that happens though.

You always do such a good job balancing different shapes and scales of objects.

A new clip now with the title card on...I reckon I should have created a new thread for all of this shouldn't I?
To the new people looking at this ..."The Pilot" is a seperate short you see...but "While They Slept" was born in this thread. I will go back onto "The Pilot" though once this is finished, but didn't mean to spend so much time on it.
