Another set, not sure what to think of this one, I try to design big open spaced sets, big with minimalist detail going on...and then I say…“well hey, I need some detail in here, because, detail is a good thing?”...so this is how things ended up...been tweaking this on and off for three days now.

Really big changes to this set again with the lighting, It's been a really tough one to do...I rendered out both ways though, cant quite believe how long I've worked on all of this now. I dont see this being part of The Pilot iether, but somthing completley different...I know I know, lot of disorganisation over here with it, but hopefully...well you see what happened was I discovered this piece of music, and want to do a quick animation to it as well as The Pilot film.

Here's a clip

It's quite lovely. I dig those colors and the whole vibe.

The operatic score seems a bit of a non sequitur, but you know your film better than anyone, so who is to say?

Keep up the great work!

Below are some lighting experiments.

The restrained palette and atmospheric quality really work for me.
It gives everything a stylized look and depth that you don't often see in 3D CG. The wide-angle lens really accents the perspective also.

Thanks fourchinnigan, yeah I love wide angle lenses.

Here’s some more experimentation, the set is starting to look better. It never quite comes out how you thought it would though.

You've come a long way from the days people used to evoke a certain other director in critiquing your work... Keep up the great work!

Long time since I visited Flight forums now, but it's cool to come back and see that you're still working on this project. I love the music in combination to your moving images in that small clip. Evokes a feeling of melancholy solitude to me. And I agree to what Steve said. Keep it up.

The atmosphere is gorgeous, you just keep getting better at this stuff.

The opera is great - works so well with the look of it.

Awww, well thanks guys!...I’m just really, really glad that somebody is coming back to watch what I’ve done...that there is some sort of audience there who likes to peak in every now and again to see what’s going on.

It’s completing these projects that’s the tricky part, and being happy with the story line that’s even trickier.

Finally did another scene. It’s really just more experimentation with colours. The idea here is we’re onboard a space ship, they’re about to go to red alert as attack is imminent.

This ones another go at me seeing if i like 2.35:1 again, with a staggering thirteen and a half focal length.
