That first African illustration is soooooooo sweet! And I love the glowing present in the last picture, really draws your eye to it within those grey tones.

By the way I got "Kids GO" in the mail this week and I like to say it's a great book, every page bursting with "campy22 energy". DVD is great as well, my little girl loves those energetic monkeys, she dances when she sits (it's really cute to look at!). The illustrations like you mentioned are different from the ones you show in this thread, was this your choice or did this came from They might be giants?

To conclude: I loved it!

Groetjes,
Joost.

Hey Pascal! Have been away for a couple of weeks, but I see you were as busy as ever! I really like the very very sketchy one you did a while back, with the yellow in it. And Africa 3 advanced to one of my favorites too :)
Good work!

Ooh I really like this one. Is there one too many strips of light, though? I count four sources, but five patches of light on the bed. Whatever, it's pretty.

It is a wonderful mood in your latest series of illustrations. It´s as if we are part of the event!
Nice going Pascal!

China 01

Post by campy22 » Fri Feb 05, 2010 9:09 am

last month, with Matthieu and for Scribiling, our mutual Blog, we picked Africa as a theme for making images.
This month, we picked China.

I just started thinking about it and trying to come up with some images that would be interesting, and I'm realizing it is as difficult or more than Africa.
Having never been ...there and not speaking nor reading the language, I hope I'm not going to offend anyone with these images.

the more I look for references though, the more I love what I'm finding.
Now I really want to go and visit.

Anyhow.. have a great day!
Cheers
