lost my day job, now i get to draw all the time! maybe my comics for stumptown will actually be finished this year...

i'm hoping to get an animation industry position as my next job instead of some stopgap wageslave thing, we'll see how that goes.

anyhow, here's some recent sketches. got a lot to work on, i think. not being in art school or hanging around any other artists means i don't get much feedback at all, and it's really weird. i don't like having to always measure myself against profesionals or people i've never met.

Hey, these are pretty good! My favorites are the close-ups on faces, and I really like the ones that use heavy blacks. That said, the eye on the guy lighting the cigarette reads a little bit funny.
Sorry about losing your job... I can admit to fantasizing about it myself, but the reality is that it's a lot of stress nobody really wants. Thanks for sharing these, and I hope it all works out for you.
