I suppose i was thinking about generating a few images to submit a fantasy portfolio to game publishers. It's not my forte but rather something i wanted to try my hand at. Here's the 1st image, in progress. Thoughts?
Thanks guys

Everything is well drawn and the colors are great. The composition and design feel off to me though. The figure and the lamp feel pasted onto the background instead of being set into the world you created.

I think this piece would benefit from not being cropped like some editorial illustration with the clean edged box. You could work on your colors and composition and values a bit. Everything is just a bit too dark. There should be more light/dark contrast to the overall painting. Saturation/color contrast could be punched up a bit too. warm foreground light vs cool blue night sky.
Best of luck with the game publishers. It's fun stuff.
