Clouds, Birds, and a Letter Jacket

Post by TmDurn7 » Fri Jun 29, 2007 9:57 am

I'm trying to work more in the digital realm and less traditionally, so here's a little experiment sketch. Is this a viable look? And what is everyone's take on that background?

It's cute, the clouds kind of get lost, I think... You might want to prop them up a bit... His chin/jawline look a little weird and my only other complaint is that I don't like that the banner with the crows (?) runs all the way to the edge of the page.

Good job, though, man. Keep it up!

cool!

I like the crows. I think that their contrast with the bg is the strongest, so the crows seem to be the main point, and not the person standing in front looking contemplative.

I love the colors in the clouds, very serene. The crows are very turbulent and contrast well, I just don't like the way they're rendered: sketchy plus blurry is hard on my eyes :P
