Hangtime (colored! 6/18)

Post by Threshold » Mon Jun 04, 2007 5:58 pm

Work has been consuming most of my time lately... otherwise I would be posting more artthings and commenting more.

I promised somebody important I would color this... so I will as soon as I clear up a couple other obligations. C/C greatly desired.

I get the sense of jumping in some awkward sort of way, it looks like he's hurdling something and I don't know if that's the sort of jump you are trying to portray.

Zidane, this would be a long jump, and he's getting ready to skid when he hits. If you ever take a running leap off of something, you either want to roll or slide on landing - otherwise your knees soak up a lot of shock. When I paint in the background, it'll make a little more sense maybe? :D

Yes, a very strange mid-air pose. It looks as if he's jumping and has decided to try and turn half way through the leap, so that he would have his back to us in the coming frames...

I like the idea of colouring that one though. Nice.

My turnaround time for these things sucks. My color selection needs some work, but I need to move on to something else for right now.

Overall? I'm actually pretty happy with this.

Thanks guys. I feel like the un-background was a bit of a cop-out.... but like I said, needed to be done with it.

Any help or criticism offered would be very welcome, actually.
