The Preservationist by David Maine

Since I was going on a 20-something hour road trip, I picked up this audio book that turned out to be pretty good. It's basically a retelling of the story of Noah's Ark, narrated by about 6 different people in his family, including noah himself.

If you liked the narrative of Yann Martel's Life of Pi, then you'll probably be interested in this one. animals at sea, questioning the creator, little observations on life, all that kinda stuff. That's probably the big draw of the book...There's not much long-winded Bible-speak, but the raw events throughout the story provides the grandiose scale of it all. maine's noah isn't anywhere near as witty or observant as martel's Pi, but the personalities he gives to noah and all these biblical folks keeps the story moving pretty quickly, noah's especially

I normally don't like audio books but under the circumstances I had to, and the voices actually added to it...
