Reading material for designers

Post by JonS » Thu Dec 23, 2004 1:48 pm

Two magazines always give me inspiration in illustrating/designing: TOKION and COMMUNICATION ARTS.

HOW magazine is also pretty good, their website has cool stuff too. Tokion especially, though. Mucho talented people in that mag.
Logo lounge has really cool identity design in every edition...

anyone got some good ones to check out?

I did How for a year and then switched to Print because it just seemed bigger and comes with a yearly humongo design annual. Res is also nice and cheap for an animation/film mag and comes with a DVD every issue...

DeskTop is a pretty sweet Australian design mag. I used to have a subscription until I could no longer afford the $$$.

i like looking at Communication Arts and CMYK Magazine. i don't really pay attentionto any other titles, but there are a lot of design magazines i like to look at in the bookstore with awesome ideas and paintings.
Tuesday is coming, did you bring your coat?
