The Yellow Jar by Patrick Atangan

Post by phasma » Thu Jul 08, 2004 11:39 am

I really enjoyed this remarkable little book. It contains two stories 'from japanese tradition'. The first story is about a fisherman finding a woman in a magic jar and the second is about a beautiful flower who withers after she falls out of favor with the gardener. The art is in the style of japanese woodblock prints and it works very well with these stories. The incredible linework is similar to p. craig russell's art(who happens to have written the introduction).
