The Adventures of Mia - issue 2

I was lucky enough to have received a copy of issue 2 of Enrico Casarosa's wonderful The Adventures of Mia. This is one of the few comics, like Bone, that has a timeless all-ages feel to it, and it is definitely one of the best. You guys have to pick this one up at the store. The action and the fun characters make this a really great read. It's got plenty of fun sequences that have the same inspired feeling of classic adventure films and some really light, delightfully soothing sequences of flight rendered with Enrico's amazing perspective skills. While the first issue acted as a great standalone story, the second issue begins to start exploring the world Mia lives in. If any of you are fans of the films Porco Rosso or Whisper of the Heart, you will absolutely love this book. The only complaint I have is that I want so badly to see more. :D Thumbs up from me! I love this book!

thanks Kazu ... glad you enjoyed it ... and thanks for the plug ...
I hear you about wanting more, I went for a slower paced story and I feel that the weakness in that is that you really want issue 3 to come out soon after this one ... and with the times it takes me to do these books, Mia 3 won't be out very soon ... oh well ...
Better start working on that ... X)

JohnnyM- I think we should be able to have Mia2 available on the net really soon, it also will debut at MOCCA in NYC at the end of this month ... if you're in the neighborhood ...

No problem, Enrico. :D Actually, wanting more isn't a problem at all. It's great! But you do have to work quicker so we can have more Mia! I want to see the completed story arc, and soon... Hehe...

I got some time to break away from my table to pick up Mia #2 just read it yesterday, and I am glad you are doing a continuous story Enrico. How long will we have to wait for the third one?
