Amazon 4-for-3 Graphic Novel Recommendations

Post by William Ward » Sat Mar 01, 2008 12:32 pm

I have been buying quite a bit of Graphic Novels from the Amazon 4-for-3 promotion online lately, but I have noticed that sometimes it is hard to find the best books (even if they are there I rarely find through the bestselling list). Here are some recommendations that are a good deal:

The Walking Dead, Vol. 1: Days Gone Bye
Ex Machina, Vol. 1: The First Hundred Days
Fables Vol. 1: Legends in Exile
Bone Volume 1: Out From Boneville
Amulet: Book 1
JLA: Heaven's Ladder
Jellaby, Volume 1
JLA Vol. 1: New World Order

Anyone else know of something particularly good found in the 4-for3 listings?

I think the Hellboy trades are grouped in there too.

I believe it is only the Animated Series ones, at least I did not see any others.

Here are a couple of Eisner Nominated Books/Stories:

Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms (Paperback)
by Fumiyo Kouno

Satchel Paige: Striking Out Jim Crow
by James Sturm (Author), Rich Tommaso (Illustrator)

"Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms" is an excellent read.

I noticed Preacher in there as well as Chew. Seems to be a pretty decent variety. Thanks for the tip, I've never knew about it before, but usually get the occasional comic from them.
