Pan's Labyrinth (The Fawn's Labyrinth)

Post by Johnny Neat » Thu Aug 31, 2006 6:23 am

This could be and looks to be, as long as it never goes campy like HellBoy, a solid fantasy tale. The look is what I would expect from the supposed reworking or proper working of an Alice in Wonderland. Check out Pan HERE and watch TRAILER HERE or TEASER & CLIPS HERE.

Yeah, They were promoting this at ComiCon. Hadn't heard of it before then, which surprised me because I tend to keep pretty on top of these things.

But yes, the movie looks amazing! This could finally be the film that surpasses the Devil's Backbone as my favorite from the director.

This is probably the film I am most looking forward to these days... Reminds me I should watch The Devil's Backbone and rewatch Cronos with Amy.

Is there a release date for the US? This looks awsome.

Date...

Josh-Ulrich, the date for the states is currently December 29th. Long wait for an already released film, I know.

Devil's Backbone is the best film Del Toro has made to date (excluding Labyrinth, because I have yet to see it). You must watch!!!

I saw this in the toronto film festival last week. What can i say.. Its beautifully shot , the monsters are great ect.. But i was rather disapointed in the story and i was expecting alot more fantasy stuff. It got a standing ovation though but that might be because Deltoro was there in Person. Go watch it and make up your own mind about it. Its worth a look .

Looks very cool. It has a Clive Barker creepiness to it. Alice in Hellraiserland?

Yep. I really liked it. This film is just dripping with life. The energy and inspiration that the film exudes is infectious, and it's easily one of the best films of the year.

I saw the release date was the 29th too but when is the wide release? I think the 29th was just select screenings.

I'm starting to get a weird twitch from wanting to see this movie man. *twitch twitch*
