Some Paradise Where Horses Go (3-page)

Post by Shoom'lah » Sun Nov 12, 2006 3:14 pm

I small memory-based comic done for my Narrative Illustration class this semester, covering the story of me sneaking out of my tent at camp to spend the rest of the morning with my horse, Brisky. Feedback is always appreciated, even after the finish. :)

clean lines and good expression for the win. Seriously, this is some kick butt drawing. The style is just so simple but the way you've drawn everything communicates so well. Gosh. THanks for joining the forum!

Outstanding drawing. I am particularly taken with the horses... They are very accurate, but the seemingly effortless line makes it seem you are very well acquainted with the subject. Did you do a lot of reference drawing, or did you grow up around horses?

Beautiful drawing, geezus.

And like everyone else said, especially the horse. Damn.

Also, welcome to Flight forums. :D

It has a very animated look. Great work on not just the drawing, but the colours and atmospheric perspective.

Thanks for the great response- glad to know the style goes over well. :) And, while I did ride regularly as a kid, life drawing at zoos and ranches are what have made me comfortable drawing horses.

I like the way the panels are arranged so there's no white space excpet around the edge of the page. It makes eveything seem more open. And the art is great, too!
